Overview

ALITA 901-1 FRP Optical Cable Core Resin (High Performance / High Speed Pultrusion)

CategoryPultrusion ResinCodeALITA 901-1 FRP Optical Cable Core Resin

Applications

ALITA 901-1 is a medium viscosity, high activity resin specifically designed for fast pultrusion processes, with a formulation optimized for the production of FRP optical cable reinforcement cores (diameters 0.5mm - 4mm).

  • Production Advantages: Significantly boosts production line speed and enhances the surface gloss of the finished product.
  • Structural Stability: Features extremely low molding shrinkage, effectively reducing internal micro-cracks and achieving an ideal balance between corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and electrical properties.
  • Superior Heat Resistance: The heat distortion temperature (HDT) of the pure resin cast body can exceed 140℃.
  • Reliability: When the reinforcement core is bent into a loop with a diameter 50 times its own at 100℃, it remains breakage-free for 24 hours, significantly reducing the scrap rate for high-end products.

Process Guidance & Recommendations

1. Curing System Selection: Pultrusion processes typically use a medium-high temperature composite curing system, e.g., BPO (medium temp) combined with TBPB (high temp).
  • ALITA BPO-50F: Medium-temperature peroxide curing agent.
  • ALITA TBPB: High-temperature peroxide curing agent.
2. Dynamic Adjustment: Actual ratios should be targeted and adjusted based on mold temperature, pultrusion speed, product diameter, and seasonal ambient temperature.
3. Shrinkage Control: This resin inherently possesses low-shrinkage characteristics designed to ensure dimensional stability between the optical cable core and the outer sheath.

Storage & Handling

  • Temperature Control: Must be stored in a cool place below 25℃.
  • Environmental Isolation: Keep away from fire and heat sources (such as direct sunlight, steam pipes, etc.).
  • Management: Keep containers sealed to strictly prevent moisture absorption and styrene monomer evaporation.
  • Shelf Life: Stored in a dark place below 25℃, the shelf life is 3 months.
