Overview

ALITA 262 Orthophthalic UPR (Extrusion / Pultrusion High Rigidity Type)

CategoryPultrusion ResinCodeALITA 262

Applications

ALITA 262 is an unsaturated polyester resin based on phthalic anhydride, featuring low viscosity and medium reactivity.

  • Core Features: Exhibits excellent rigidity, with products resistant to deformation and possessing good dimensional stability.
  • Process Suitability: Specifically optimized for extrusion and pultrusion molding processes; its low viscosity helps in rapid fiber wetting.
  • Typical Applications: Suitable for manufacturing pultruded products requiring a balance between flexibility and rigidity, such as:
  • Fishing rods, Tent poles.
  • Gratings, Structural rod members.

Usage Instructions

1. Composition: ALITA 262 resin does not contain wax, accelerators, or thixotropic agents.
2. Recommended Curing System: Suggest using BPO (0.5-2.0%) or TBPB (0.5-1.5%). Actual selection should be based on equipment, process temperature, and speed.
3. Shrinkage Control: When manufacturing thick-walled products, it is recommended to add low-shrinkage additives to reduce shrinkage and prevent cracking.
4. Selection Guidance:
  • Higher heat/seawater resistance: Select Isophthalic ALITA 239.
  • Higher corrosion resistance: Select Epoxy Vinyl Ester ALITA 901.

Storage & Handling

  • Safety Protection: Contains styrene and other ingredients; avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles.
  • Storage Environment: Recommended to store in a cool place below 25℃. Keep away from direct sunlight, fire sources, or high-temperature pipes.
  • Management: Keep containers sealed; prevent moisture contamination and monomer evaporation. Follow the "First-In, First-Out" principle.
