Overview
ALITA 7018 Orthophthalic UPR (High Toughness / High Speed Extrusion Type)
Category:Pultrusion ResinCode:ALITA 7018
Applications
ALITA 7018 is a high-performance unsaturated polyester resin based on phthalic anhydride. Within the 701X series, it is distinguished by its exceptional elongation at break and mechanical toughness.
- Core Advantages: Features medium viscosity and high reactivity. This resin not only offers fast curing and high thermal strength but also imparts excellent toughness (elongation > 8%) to products, effectively resisting brittle fracture.
- Physical Performance: Exhibits excellent high-temperature resistance, high heat distortion temperature (HDT), and outstanding mechanical strength and modulus.
- Process Suitability: Specifically designed for high-speed extrusion (pultrusion) processes, featuring good fiber wetting properties and corrosion resistance.

Reference Formulation
1. Composition: ALITA 7018 resin does not contain wax, accelerators, or thixotropic agents.
2. Curing System:
- BPO Curing Agent: 0.5 - 2.0%
- TBPB Curing Agent: 0.5 - 1.5%
- Actual ratios should be dynamically adjusted based on extrusion equipment, mold temperature, production speed, and profile thickness.
3. Shrinkage Control: When manufacturing thick-walled products, it is recommended to add low-shrinkage additives to ensure dimensional accuracy and reduce internal stress.
Storage & Handling
- Safety Protection: Contains active monomers; avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, and goggles during operation.
- Storage Environment: Strongly recommended to store below 25℃ (77℉). Keep away from direct sunlight, steam pipes, open flames, and all heat sources.
- Quality Maintenance: Keep containers sealed; prevent moisture contamination and monomer (styrene) evaporation loss. Follow the "First-In, First-Out" principle for stock rotation.
