ALITA 2094PT Isophthalic Pre-accelerated Thixotropic Resin

ALITA 2094PT is an isophthalic-type, pre-accelerated, and thixotropic unsaturated polyester resin. Synthesized from isophthalic acid, maleic anhydride, and standard glycols, it is dissolved in styrene monomer and features low viscosity with medium reactivity, designed for maximum seawater resistance.

• Excellent Seawater Resistance: Specifically formulated to withstand degradation and osmotic water blistering in marine environments.
• High Strength & Heat Resistance: Superior mechanical stiffness, high tensile strength, and HDT of 82°C.
• Superior Processability: Fast fiber wetting, optimized for spray-up and hand lay-up without sagging on vertical sections.
• Thixotropic Stability: Excellent rheological flow control.

Ideal for structural and functional layers of medium-to-large marine FRP vessels, high-end commercial hulls, and yachts operating in coastal/sea waters. This resin does not contain wax.

Note: Gel time tested in 25°C water bath, 50g resin with 1.0g M-50 (Akzo Nobel).

• Storage: Store below 25°C in a cool, ventilated indoor area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep containers sealed to prevent moisture ingress.
• Shelf Life: 6 months under standard conditions; 3 months for resin containing accelerators.
• Handling Note: Thixotropic agents may experience minor settling during extended storage; stir thoroughly before application.
