Overview

ALITA 191ETP Thixotropic Pre-accelerated Polyester Resin

CategoryHand Lay-up ResinCodeALITA 191ETP

Overview

ALITA 191ETP is a general-purpose orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin. It is characterized by its thixotropic nature and is pre-accelerated for maximum ease of use in manual and winding laminating lines. The resin contains wax to optimize surface curing properties and reduce tackiness.

Features

  • Excellent Water Resistance: Designed to withstand long-term moisture exposure and prevent hydrolysis.
  • High Mechanical Strength: Offers superior structural integrity, tensile stiffness, and bending strength.
  • High Elongation at Break: Exceptional elongation of 3.8% provides reliable flexibility and impact energy absorption.
  • Processing Optimized: Superior thixotropic properties protect vertical or curved molds from resin run-off.

Usage Instructions

Highly suitable for hand lay-up, spray-up, and filament winding processes. Widely used in the manufacturing of GRP pipes, industrial storage tanks, water vessels, and various other fiberglass reinforced plastic products.
