Applications
ALITA 191DC is an unsaturated polyester resin primarily derived from dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), featuring medium viscosity and medium reactivity.
- Features: High solid content, low viscosity, low shrinkage, and good wetting properties for glass fibers.
- Physical Performance: Provides excellent mechanical strength, water resistance, and heat resistance.
- Applications: Widely used for general-purpose glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) products, and also suitable for stone repair and reinforcement.

Usage Instructions
1. Composition: Contains wax; does not contain accelerator or thixotropic agent.
2. Light Sensitivity: Photosensitive; may gel when exposed to light. Do not open packaging until use; avoid exposure to strong light.
3. Curing System Recommendation: * Recommended use of pure cobalt-based accelerators (0.4-2.0%) and MEKP curing agents (1.0-2.5%).
- Not recommended to use colorless accelerators containing copper or potassium salts, as they may lead to poor curing or surface tackiness.
4. Process Adjustments: * If gelling is too fast in high-temperature environments, it is not recommended to drastically reduce curing agent; instead, add an appropriate amount of retarder.
- If surface tackiness occurs in high-humidity environments, wax solution can be added to alleviate the issue.
5. Selection Reminder: 191DC emphasizes high hardness and heat resistance. If higher toughness is required or production conditions are limited, ALITA Orthophthalic 191 resin is recommended.
Storage & Handling
- Safety: Avoid contact with skin and eyes; personal protective equipment must be worn.
- Storage: Strongly recommended to store in a stable environment below 25℃.
- Prohibitions: Keep away from direct sunlight, steam pipes, or other heat sources. No outdoor storage; keep sealed to prevent moisture ingress and monomer loss. Follow the "FIFO" principle.
