Applications
ALITA 501 is a Terephthalic (PTA-type) unsaturated polyester resin, synthesized from Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA), maleic anhydride, and standard glycols.
- Product Features: Dissolved in styrene cross-linking monomer, this resin exhibits high viscosity and high reactivity.
- Physical Advantages: Features stable thickening performance, good strength and toughness, low shrinkage, and excellent water resistance.
- Primary Uses: Specifically designed for manufacturing BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound) specialty products such as:
- BMC Manhole Covers
- Traffic Barrier Bases

Experimental Notes:
1. Casting method follows GB/T 8237-2005.
2. Curing system: 0.6% Cobalt Naphthenate accelerator 1.0% + Butanox M-50 curing agent 1.0%.
3. Post-curing scheme: RT 24h + 60℃ 3h + 120℃ 1h.
Usage Instructions
1. Composition: ALITA 501 resin does not contain wax, accelerator, or thixotropic agent.
2. Thickening Stability: To ensure the storage stability of SMC/BMC materials, stabilizers must be added during the production process.
Storage & Handling
- Safety: Resin contains harmful ingredients; wear protective clothing, goggles, and gloves to avoid skin and eye contact.
- Temperature Control: Strongly recommended to store in a stable environment below 25℃.
- Environment Contradictions: Outdoor storage is strictly prohibited. Keep away from direct sunlight, steam pipes, or other heat sources to prevent moisture contamination and monomer loss.
- Management: Keep sealed and follow the "FIFO" principle for inventory turnover.
