Overview

ALITA 1599 Isophthalic/NPG Type Unsaturated Polyester Resin (High Performance SMC/BMC)

CategorySMC/BMC ResinCodeALITA 1599

Applications

ALITA 1599 is a high-performance unsaturated polyester resin synthesized from Isophthalic acid and Neopentyl Glycol (NPG), specifically developed for high-standard SMC/BMC processes.

  • Core Features: Features high reactivity and excellent thickening characteristics. Compared to ALITA 1598, it has a lower liquid viscosity (1000-1700 mPa.s), making it easier for fiber wetting.
  • Physical Advantages: Products possess very high mechanical strength, superior electrical properties, as well as outstanding heat resistance (HDT 130℃) and chemical corrosion resistance.
  • Application Fields: Widely used in BMC injection molding and SMC sheet compression molding, particularly suitable for:
  • High-Performance Electrical Components: Such as high-voltage insulators, circuit breaker housings.
  • Industrial Equipment: Industrial parts requiring long-term contact with chemical media or operation in high-temperature environments.

Storage & Handling

  • Personal Protection: Resin components can be harmful; avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear necessary protective equipment and clothing during operation.
  • Temperature Control: Strongly recommended to store materials in a stable environment below 25℃ (77℉).
  • Environment: Keep away from direct sunlight, steam pipes, or other heat sources. Outdoor storage is strictly prohibited to prevent moisture contamination.
  • Sealing Management: Keep containers sealed to prevent moisture absorption and loss of monomer (styrene) through evaporation.
  • Inventory Turnover: Follow the "FIFO" principle.
