Overview
ALITA 107TP Flame-Retardant Polyester Resin (Pre-promoted & Thixotropic)
Category:Flame Retardant ResinCode:ALITA 107TP
Overview
ALITA 107TP is a general-purpose, reactive flame-retardant unsaturated polyester resin. This product is specially formulated to be Pre-promoted, Thixotropic, and Wax-containing to enhance processing efficiency and final product quality. Products made with this resin (formulated with T-paste) exhibit excellent flame retardancy and robust mechanical properties.
Features
- Excellent Wetting: Good fiber wetting properties ensure complete impregnation and minimize air pockets.
- Non-Sag: The thixotropic nature prevents sagging on vertical or inclined mold surfaces.
- Tack-Free Curing: The wax content ensures a clean, tack-free surface after curing.
- Flame Retardant: FRP products formulated with T-paste exhibit high fire safety (Oxygen Index up to 32%).
Usage Instructions
Widely used for manufacturing FRP products with strict flame retardant requirements, including:
- Marine vessels, yachts, and harbor structures.
- Industrial cooling tower fan cylinders, casings, and drift eliminators.
- Automotive body panels, truck fairings, and cabin enclosures.
- FRP cable boxes, electrical enclosures, and subway structural panels.

Curing Characteristics
- Accelerator Choice: Special promoters like E4 are recommended. Avoid using high-efficiency colorless amine accelerators to prevent surface tackiness.
- Gel Time Adjustment: If high ambient temperatures cause premature gelation, do not reduce the curing agent below the minimum safety dosage; use a gel retarder instead.
- Tackiness Control: Under high humidity or temperature, if surface tackiness is observed, a small amount of additional wax solution can be incorporated.
- Curing Conditions: Casting preparation according to GB/T 8237-2005. Post-cure program: Room Temp × 24h + 60°C × 3h + 80°C × 2h. FRP post-cure: Room Temp × 24h + 60°C × 3h + 110°C × 2h (OI specimen thickness: 3mm).
- Storage: Store below 25°C in a cool, ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Shelf life is 3 months.
