Overview
ALITA 966 is a high-performance unsaturated polyester resin with high mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance, and superior water resistance. Its low viscosity characteristics ensure exceptional wetting of glass fibers, allowing the finished product to maintain high strength while exhibiting good toughness.
- Core Usage: Specifically designed for the structural layers of fiberglass (FRP) pipes and storage tanks.

Pipe Ring Stiffness & Mechanical Performance
According to experimental reports, pipes with a diameter of 1000mm and a wall thickness of 21.1mm manufactured using ALITA 966 exhibit excellent structural support:
- Ring Stiffness: Reaches as high as 13480.9.
- Pressure Performance: Successfully passed testing at deflection levels A and B, with a failure load reaching 27.65 kN.
Process Guidance
1. Post-Curing Recommendation: To achieve optimal physical properties (especially the 86℃ HDT), post-curing treatment is recommended: 60℃ (2h) + 110℃ (2h).
2. Ratio Adjustment: The low viscosity design (280-400 mPa·s) is highly suitable for sand-filled centrifugal casting, ensuring full integration of sand particles with the resin and reducing internal voids.
Storage & Handling
- Temperature Control: Must be stored in a cool, dry place below 25℃.
- Safety Protection: Contains active monomers; avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles during operation.
- Stability: Keep sealed to prevent moisture ingress and styrene monomer loss.
