ALITA 8700 Fast Pultrusion Core Resin
Category:PultrusionCode:ALITA 8700
Overview
ALITA 8700(/G) is a bisphenol-A epoxy vinyl ester resin designed specifically for fast pultrusion molding. It features moderate viscosity and high reactivity, which significantly increases pultrusion line speed, improves product surface gloss, reduces shrinkage, and minimizes internal micro-cracks. The resulting pultruded products offer a dual advantage of excellent corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and electrical performance.
- Core Specialization: It is the universal grade resin tailored for the fast pultrusion of 0.5mm–4mm optical cable strength members (FRP cores).
- Excellent Heat Resistance: The heat distortion temperature (HDT) of the neat resin casting reaches over 140°C.
- Reduced Defect Rate: FRP cores pultruded with this resin exhibit higher thermal bending deflection and strength. A core looped to 50 times its diameter withstands 100°C for 24 hours without cracking, reducing high-end core defect rates to a minimum.
- (/G) Variant: Grades with 'G' are opaque and designed to provide an even smoother surface on pultruded products.

Advice: Pultrusion curing agents rely mostly on medium/high-temperature compound systems, combined with BPO and TBPB. Formulations must be adjusted on-site according to mold temperature, pultrusion speed, product thickness/diameter, and seasonal temperatures.
Storage & Handling
- Packaging: Clean 20kg/200kg drums or 1000kg IBCs.
- Storage: Cool, dry, ventilated environment below 25°C. Shelf life is 9 months. Periodically opening the lid and stirring can suitably extend shelf life. Promoters and initiators must be stored separately.
- Transport: Must comply with hazardous chemical regulations. Cold chain recommended from May to October.
